The Premier League title race has seen some twists and turns already over the holidays - with Liverpool's perfect record giving them a seven point lead over Champions Manchester City.

City ran out easy winners at Southampton in the end on Sunday with Aguero back on the scoresheet. Neighbours Manchester United also continued their fine form since Jose Mourhino was booted out with a third straight win.

Paul Pogba looks a different player and bagged a brace and made another as Bournemouth were swept aside.

The London trio of Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea all dropped vital points and City have gone back to second behind Liverpool in the title race.

The Premier League have seen the New Years day list spread over three days and fans will have to wait until Thursday for the top game as City travel to Anfield.

Liverpool are hovering around evens with City 9/4 for this vital game. The pressure will be on the Champions who will go 10 points behind Liverpool if they lose. Liverpool remain unbeaten and the way they swept Arsenal aside on Saturday suggests it will take a very good side to turn them over.

Whether Klopp will go for it remains to be seen, but with so much at stake this could be one game that disappoints and ends all square.

Elswhere, Burnley at 10/3 look a big price away at Huddersfield to make it back to back wins for the first time in a year. Huddersfield simply can't score and Burnley will be bouyed by a solid win over West Ham.
