Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made a tremendous impact at Old Trafford since he and Mike Phelan took the helm. Interestingly, the FA Cup was Sir Alex Ferguson's salvation after a winless three seasons. The 1990/91 win started United's trail of Trophies.

Solskjaer will be hoping some of that gloiry will rub off on him. United face a toothless Reading outfit at Old Trafford and look nailed on for round 4.

Before you look for big outsiders - consider that only twice in 25 seasons has a side outside the Big Six won the Cup. They were Wigan (pic) and Portsmouth.

On that basis the winner is coming from United, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs. You could throw Everton into that mix as well.

Of those sides, Everton look all at sea at the monet and the FA Cup is suddenly an unwelcome distraction. Manchester City and Liverpool have two more important tragets than this one.

Arsenal, Chelsea and man United are all unlikley to win the league and could eye the Cup to bag a trophy. We tipped up Arsenal last time only to see them fall at the first hurdle in one of Arsene Wenger's worst moments.

Expect a more sustained approach this time. Chelsea are in the same boat.

United look the pick at the odds - 9/1 and Arsenal at 10s look a safe alternative.

Back both to lose 2 pts at these odds. At a really big price we like Crystal Paace at 50s. Roy Hodgson has a neat team and recent results have taken the pressure off league wise.
