CHAMPIONSHIP CONCENTRATE ON HOME FRONT

CONCENTRATE ON HOME FRONT

17th September 2014

Blackburn have no new injury concerns ahead of Derby's visit to Ewood Park on Wednesday.

David Dunn is out with a "minor niggle" according to Rovers boss Gary Bowyer, while Jason Lowe has a foot problem. Tommy Spurr is out with a groin injury.

Jordan Rhodes is fully fit again and the Rovers front man is alreday banging in the goals. Derby will do well to contain the threat.

Derby could also welcome back Jamie Ward after the striker missed the 1-1 derby draw with Nottingham Forest on Sunday with a hamstring injury.

Jordan Ibe, on loan from Liverpool, is pushing to start.

Derby have drawn their last two and three out of six games. Boss Steve McLarren has them well organised and they were worth the point at leaders Nottingham Forest last time out.

We think another draw is on the cards and at 5/2 with several layers the price for this outcome is too big. Rovers and Derby look pretty similar sides and both will push for a play-off spot.

The sides drew this fixture 1-1 back in Januray if that's a guide and whilst  Blackburn are unbeaten in the last seven encounters in all competitions, winning four they have drawn three.

Derby's only defeat was a 3-2 scoreline at Charlton and this has to be a close game.

Take the 5/2 the draw.
