The re-arranged play off contest between York City and Fleetwood Town could go te way of the home side on Monday. the original Saturday game was postponed at the death because of torrential rain, and the pitch will be no bowling green tonight.

There are several factors for backing York - Fleetwood look short enough and whilst they finished fourth, there is a feeling Graham Alexander's side should have got automatic.

Fleetwood have one of the biggest budgets in the sector and could attract the likes of Iain Hulme from Preston in January to bolster their squad.

York are unfashionable and by contrast Nigel Worthington has worked on a shoe string. Apart from James Beattie(pic) who has worked miracles at Accrington, Worthington is for us the best boss in this division.

York had the best form of any side in the second half of the season and lost just once in that period at home. Contrast that with Fleetwood who obtained 11 points fewer in the same period.

Yet, the Codd Army are as short as 15/8 with York freely available at 6/4 with home advantage. On top of that, Alexander is relatively inexperienced as a coach (although he tasted play-off glory as a player with Burnley and heartache with Preston) and under pressure Worthington may be more relaible in a tie that could ultimately be decided in this game.
