FA CUP Draw favours big boys

Draw favours big boys

18th February 2018

Saturday night's FA Cup draw was kind to the big boys left in the tournament.

Leicester v Chelsea

Manchester United v Brighton

Sheffield Wednesday or Swansea v Rochdale or Tottenham

Wigan or Manchester City v Southampton

Chelsea, Man United, Man City and Spurs have been kept apart. No disrespect to Rochdale who face Spurs on Sunday and Wigan who face Manchester City on Monday, in all liklihood we will have eight Premier League sides in the last eight. The only caviat is Sheff Weds who face a tough replay at Swansea.

Manchester United, who face Brighton in the last eight at Old Trafford are marginal favourites with City rivlas a round behind. Tottenham could face a trick trip to either Swansea or Sheff Weds in the only replay so far. Chelsea had the worst of it with a tough trip to Leicester who have been rewarded for playing strong sides with a last eight berth.

Leicester have been in more finals without winning the trophy than any other side and perhaps this is their year. Those who took the 28/1 as advised will be feeling ok.

Of the rest, resurgent Swansea are still avaialble at 25s and that might be worth a shout.
