WEEKEND FIXTURE CHAOS AS BAD WEATHER HITS

FIXTURE CHAOS AS BAD WEATHER HITS

2nd March 2018

Whilst Friday's Championship game between Boro' and Leeds United was given the go ahead after fans helped clear snow from the pitch and stands, its not uch good news elsewhere in the EFL.

Saturday's Championship games at Barnsley and Ipswich are already off and in Leagues One and Two its easier to list the games that are on.

As of Friday 4.00 pm only Scunthorpe v Oldham, MK Dons v Bristol Rovers and Doncaster v Walsall survive in League One.

In League Two only three games survive, those at Cambridge, Carlisle and Coventry.

Only Dover's fixture with Leyton Orient survives in the national League.

The picture is pretty bleak in Scotalnd as well but as of Friday the two Scottish Cup quarter-finals at Celtic and Aberdeen survive for now.

The only bright spot for punters is the Premier League. All ground have under soil heating and covers and no games are scheduled to be called off. That said, the weather forecast for heavy snow in the South and Midlands might alter that come saturday.

It is the worst weather for 27 years and Thursday was the coldest March day since records began.

Betting wise, we will leave it as late as possible before deciding on any bets.
