Chris Hughton was a big favourite in his playing days for Spurs- but there won't be many Spurs fans supporting him tonight.

Spurs travel to the south coast to take on Hughton's Brighton knowing a win is vital to maintain their Champions League push.

They look to return to winning ways in tonight's clash on the south coast after seeing their 14-match unbeaten run ended by Manchester City.

Saturday’s 3-1 home defeat was Spurs’ first lost in the league of 2018, and their first since they lost away to the now champions back in December.

Brighton, meanwhile, are looking to bounce back from their defeat at rivals Crystal Palace and create a buffer between themselves and the drop zone. Albeit in 13th, Chris Hughton’s side are only seven points above the drop zone and facing a very tough run-in.

The Seagulls have been far better at home though and will make Spurs work all the way. We'd rather be laying Spurs at 1/2 than punting them. The home/draw combination is 6/4 which makes a lay at 1/2 on the exchanges look value with a near 19/20 pay out.
