EURO BLUES

21st September 2018

Chelsea boss Maurizzio Sarri will not be happy his team were delayed over a day by bad weather. The gloss was taken off the Blues Europa Lg win over Greek side Paok Sal as bad weather forced his side to stay a day longer in Greece.

Not the ideal preparation for Sunday's trip to West Ham. Chelsea have a mixed record in this fixture with three wins and six defeats in the last six (four of those were at Upton Park of course)

West Ham finally awoke for the season with an emphatic win at Everton last weekend. A repeat of that form would see them go close against a Chelsea side without too much rest time. Sarri rested some key players which helps his cause, but 8/15 for an away win looks poor value.

West Ham might be a bet on the Asian Handicap getting a goal.

Liverpool pulled out all the stops to see off Paris St G in the Champions League and are very poor value at 1/6. Visitors Southampton have done ok so far under Mark Hughes and have been resolute. They threw a two goal lead away at home to Brighton on Monday and that sort of lapse will be punished by the rampant Reds.

Manchester United were also succesful in Europe and should be good enough to see off Wolves at Old Trafford.

Those looking for a better price bet should stick with Brighton at 15/4 in places to beat Spurs. The later are in a rut and Brighton have made the Amex a bit of a fortress. The fixture ended all square last term and laying Spurs as well at evens looks a saver.
