EFL CUP Arsenal take a few chances

Arsenal take a few chances

31st October 2018

Arsene Wenger was not a lover of the EFL Cup and compared to the FA Cup had a poor record - largely due to the policy of blooding youth team players.

New boss Unai Emery seems to be follwowing suit with a last eight spot up for grabs.

Petr Cesc is in goal danny Welbeck and Aaron Ramsey also starts but there will be plenty of fans who won't recognise others in the starting line-up.

Pleguezuelo makes his debut and Jenkinson makes his first strat in nearly two years.

Blackpool have been in decent form in League 1, but this is a huge step up for most of their players.

It should be an Arsenal win, but at 1/7 they are no bet even in accas. A better value bet is West Ham to repeat last season's win over Spurs at the same stage. last year, the Hammers in one of Slavan Bilic's last games, came from two down to win 3-2 at Wembley.

This is a better West Ham team and despite losing to Spurs in the league recently look a big price at 9/4. They rate a bet to small stakes.
